Ochsner CHRISTUS Offering Unprecedented Mass Clinic Vaccination Event April 10 March 30, 2021

Lake Charles, Louisiana – Ochsner CHRISTUS Health Center will offer a mass vaccination event on Saturday, April 10. 500 doses of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine are available and will be administered between 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Zion Tabernacle Baptist Church (910 N Shattuck St, Lake Charles).

Louisiana’s eligibility criteria expanded this week to include everyone ages 18 and older. The Pfizer vaccine is available to those, age 16 and older. Those who are vaccinated on April 10 will be scheduled automatically to return for their second dose at Zion Tabernacle Baptist Church on Saturday, May 1.

The vaccine is free and available to anyone regardless of their current health care provider. However, appointments must be made through the Ochsner vaccine call center, 855-668-3625, through or on the MyChart app.

When scheduling with, patients must first choose which vaccine they want before viewing available appointments. To schedule an appointment on April 10, patients using should select “Pfizer” as the vaccine type before selecting the location.

The main Ochsner CHRISTUS vaccine clinic continues to offer appointments throughout the week for both Pfizer and Moderna vaccine. Dates and type of vaccine vary week-to-week based on allocation from the state. The vaccine clinic is located at Ochsner CHRISTUS Health Center - Lake Area (4150 Nelson Road) inside Building C, Suite 11. Upcoming vaccination options include:
