CHRISTUS Health to give away backpacks across East Texas

CHRISTUS Good Shepherd Health System will hold a public, drive-thru backpack giveaway in three East Texas cities next week, as students prepare to return to the classroom.

On Wednesday, Aug. 7, backpacks can be picked up in Kilgore at the Roy H. Laird Regional Medical Health Sciences Education Center, located at 1612 Henderson Blvd, from 5-7 p.m.

On Thursday, Aug. 8, CHRISTUS will give away backpacks at the Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Institute in Longview, located at 3133 Good Shepherd Way, and at CHRISTUS Good Shepherd Medical Center – Marshall at 811 S. Washington.

Both the Longview and Marshall events will take place from 5-7 p.m.

There is a one backpack per child maximum and children must be present to receive.
