CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital-Beeville recognized with national award for high-quality care

CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital – Beeville announced it has been recognized with a national award for providing high-quality care. The hospital was named a top performer in the 2024 Bernard A. Birnbaum, MD, Quality Leadership Study by Vizient Inc.

“This is a significant achievement for our hospital,” said Richard Morin, president of CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital – Beeville. “Our team of physicians, front line associates and leaders is what makes this hospital great. Receiving this recognition means it shows that we provide the best patient care to our community.”

CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital – Beeville was awarded in the community hospital cohort. Cohorts are based on specific patient volume metrics. There were four cohorts: comprehensive academic medical centers, large specialized complex care medical centers, complex care medical centers and community hospitals.

CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital – Beeville is the only community hospital in Texas to receive this recognition.

The distinguished award signifies the hospital excelled in six critical domains of patient care: safety, mortality, effectiveness, efficiency, patient-centeredness and equity.
