10/18/2023
CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Health System announced today that Grant Wicklund has been named chief executive officer.
Wicklund brings over 25 years of senior-level health care experience from a variety of roles in several different regions. Most recently, he served as president and CEO of Lutheran Medical Center, a part of SCL Health based in Denver, Colorado.
“I am honored for the opportunity to come to San Antonio, a city and community with outstanding health care resources,” Wicklund said. “I feel humbled and grateful to CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Health System and CHRISTUS Health for entrusting me to lead this exceptional team. This ministry already has a strong foundation and I hope to build on that.”
He will oversee the five hospitals within the Santa Rosa ministry: CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospitals – Westover Hills, Alamo Heights, Medical Center, New Braunfels, and San Marcos.
“I am confident in Grant’s ability to lead our Santa Rosa ministry so we can continue to provide the high-quality, compassionate care expected from the communities we are blessed to serve,” said Jeff Puckett, executive vice president and chief operating officer for CHRISTUS Health.
CHRISTUS Health is grateful to Stephanie Parker, for serving in this role since 2020. She joined CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Health System in 2015 as the regional vice president of finance. Under her leadership, CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Associates and physicians have demonstrated a strong commitment to caring for those in need, most recently during a global pandemic.
“Stephanie’s commitment to our ministry has always been at the forefront of her leadership focus,” Puckett said. “We are incredibly blessed to have worked with her. With that same level of commitment, CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Health System is focused on making excellent, integrated, and consumer-focused care more accessible, reliable, and personal for all those we serve. We remain steadfast to our mission of extending the healing ministry of Jesus Christ.”
