CHRISTUS Health has broken ground on a new multi-specialty clinic in Sulphur Springs that will expand compassionate and exceptional care to the area.

Located adjacent to CHRISTUS Mother Frances Hospital – Sulphur Springs on Airport Road, construction has begun on the 11,000 square-foot CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic building with a projected completion date of spring 2026.

Tyler-based HGR Construction is lead construction company on the project.

“We have seen unbelievable growth in our hospital, clinics, and the overall need for specialized care in our community,” said hospital President Paul Harvey. “This new facility allows us to expand our reach, see more patients in a timely manner and provide access to quality care close to home.”

The building is part of a $25 million expansion that was announced at the hospital’s 75th anniversary celebration in September. It will house specialists in gastroenterology, interventional pain and orthopedics.

Laboratory and imaging services will be located there as well.

The hospital also will soon undergo a nearly 8,000 square-foot renovation to the surgical wing, which includes eight operating rooms, changing lounge, 13 additional post-op recovery area, 19 pre-op rooms and new surgical suites that will be larger and able to accommodate the latest technology, including robotic surgical systems.

“We are excited about the future of health care in our community,” Harvey said.
