CHRISTUS Health is scheduling appointments starting today for the new Orthopedics & Sports Medicine Institute, offering advanced care for sport related injuries and orthopedic conditions.
CHRISTUS Orthopedics & Sports Medicine Institute opens on Jan. 13 to extend comprehensive services designed to meet the needs of athletes and active individuals of all ages throughout the southeast Texas region.
“This is an important development for CHRISTUS Health and the community of southeast Texas, who trust us for orthopedic and sports medicine care,” said Micah Axton, chief operating officer of CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic. “We saw the need to grow our services and provide another location to continue our mission of extending the healing ministry of Jesus Christ.”
The new CHRISTUS Orthopedics & Sports Medicine Institute offers many orthopedic services including sports medicine, total joint reconstruction, cartilage restoration, trauma and hip, knee, shoulder and hand surgery. The clinic will also have 14 exam rooms to care for patients.
“We are so thrilled to provide this service in the west Beaumont area,” said Kelly Cady, vice president physician practice operations for CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic, which oversees the new Orthopedics & Sports Medicine Institute. “This expansion represents CHRISTUS Health’s continued commitment to growth and to keeping the community healthy and active, focusing on personalized orthopedic care for every patient.”
The clinic is located on the new CHRISTUS medical campus on Dowlen Road, site of the former Medical Center of Southeast Texas – Victory Campus. CHRISTUS will further expand services there with the March opening of a new CHRISTUS hospital facility, which will offer surgery and emergency medical care featuring state-of-the-art robotic medical technology.
“As our community continues to grow, it is vital that we work to expand access to key services that are in high demand,” said Paul Trevino, president and chief executive officer of CHRISTUS Southeast Texas Health System. “The expansion of the CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic in our new facility in west Beaumont will provide another access point to enhance availability of key physician specialists that are committed to our core values of high quality and an exceptional patient experience. A growing and prosperous medical community is essential to support our mission and contribute to the long-term well-being of southeast Texas.”
