CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic has added to its list of health care specialties with the opening of new podiatry clinics in Shreveport-Bossier.
The clinics are located at 1449 E. Bert Kouns Industrial Loop in Shreveport and 2539 Viking Drive, Suite 103, in Bossier City. The clinics are scheduled to open to patients on Aug. 8.
Dr. J.E. Toups, a podiatry specialist with Foot Specialists of Shreveport-Bossier, along with two other podiatrists are partnering with CHRISTUS Health to provide services at the new podiatry clinic. The team includes Dr. Bryan Randolph and Dr. Rebecca McGaha.
Toups, who opened his practice 23 years ago, said he and the team are excited about the partnership with CHRISTUS Health.
“This partnering with CHRISTUS allows us to take this practice that we’ve had to the next level and offer more services to the community,” he said. “It will help provide even more podiatric care to this whole community by partnering with CHRISTUS.”
Lisa Britt, vice president of physician practice operations for CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic, said they are constantly seeking ways to enhance the quality of care.
“The addition of these podiatry clinics allows us to build on the quality of care in our communities,” she said. “We want patients to know they can receive the care they deserve right here at home.”
Casey Robertson, president and CEO of CHRISTUS Shreveport-Bossier Health System, said the new podiatry clinic is a great representation of CHRISTUS’ expanding service lines and high-quality care provided to the community.
“CHRISTUS is growing to meet the needs of this community, and we are thrilled to welcome these experienced podiatrists to our CHRISTUS team,” he said. “This new clinic is part of our broader strategy to enhance accessibility to specialized medicine and bring resources to serve this community now and in the future.”
Services at the new clinic will include reconstructive foot surgery, podiatric medicine and wound care.
The new clinic will be integrated with Epic, the electronic health record system that allows for patient information to be shared in real time across the CHRISTUS Health system.
