CHRISTUS Health Pro Challenge Brings Top Tennis Talent to Tyler

Female tennis playerThirty-two of the best women’s tennis players in the world will compete in the ITF World Tennis Tour CHRISTUS Health Pro Challenge, which concludes with Championship Sunday on Oct. 29.

The tournament is being held at Tyler Athletic & Swim Club and features a prize purse of $80,000, with a 32 player singles draw and a 16 team doubles draw.

Emma Navarro, currently 42nd in the USTA world rankings, headlines the competition that features players from the United States, Bulgaria, Argentina, German, Slovakia, India, and more.

“We’re thrilled to welcome women’s professional tennis back to our club and to give members and local tennis enthusiasts the opportunity to see some of the world’s greats competing in person,” said Rob Lowe, tournament director. “We would like to thank CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances Health System for their significant support of professional tennis and the local Tyler community as our title sponsor this year.”

Main draw singles and doubles matches will be played on Wednesday, Oct. 25, and Thursday, Oct. 26.

The tournament will conclude doubles play on Saturday, Oct. 28 and the singles championship will be Sunday, Oct. 29.

The 2023 CHRISTUS Health Pro Challenge is open to members, guests, fans and sponsors.
