Jay joined CHRISTUS Children's team in 2009 after completing physician assistant training at the University of Texas Health Science Center – San Antonio. Prior to that time he worked as a physical therapy assistant which gave him a unique perspective to ensure children receive the care they need to gain the best outcome following their VEPTR surgeries. Jay also plays an integral role in coordinating patient care before, during, and after surgeries. For children and families who travel from outside San Antonio and Texas, Jay coordinates care offered by pediatric specialists in their own communities.
