Meet Ada Montalvo, PA-C

Ada Montalvo is a graduate of the UT Health San Antonio Physician Assistant program. She has worked in orthopedics since her graduation in 2015 and spent several years caring for adult orthopedic patients. In August 2022, she made the switch to pediatric orthopedics and loves helping children and adolescents. She considers herself fortunate to be part of CHRISTUS Children's dynamic pediatric orthopedic team.

Prior to her career as a physician assistant, she coached Division 1 Volleyball for five seasons and was also a guest speaker and panelist for several NCAA seminars. Ada has a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology and master’s degree in health education and behavior from the University of Florida. Shortly after moving to San Antonio, she decided to make a career change and join the medical field. As an athlete and coach, Ada understands how orthopedic patients want to get back to enjoying the sport and activities they love.

Ada and her family are originally from Puerto Rico and have been living in San Antonio since 2010. As part of a U.S. Air Force family, she grew up moving many places including overseas. In her leisure time, Ada enjoys competitive volleyball, cooking, gardening, and travel. She enjoys spending time with her family.
