Christy Lemon, APRN, FNP-BC, is part of our highly trained cancer care team in Shreveport, LA. She specializes in radiation oncology and values patient education and discussing all possible outcomes of their radiation therapy. She also prioritizes addressing any psychosocial concerns, treatment-related effects, and non-urgent medical issues while patients are receiving treatment. Christy holds a Master of Science in Nursing from Herzing University in Madison, WI, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in Lafayette, LA.

She is a proud member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). Describing her approach to patient care, Christy says, “My approach to patient care is individualized, and the goal is to provide high-quality health care service during radiation treatments. I assess the patient’s knowledge of the role of radiation in relation to their diagnosis and acknowledge their preferences and needs before, during, and after treatment. A personalized plan for care during the treatment course is discussed with the patients weekly or more often as needed. The plan is consistent with evidence-based and scientific principles, as well as clinical expertise and logical knowledge.”
