About
Dr. Chism was born in Houston, Texas and raised in Richmond, Texas where she graduated from Foster High School. She then attended Prairie View A&M University, graduating Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She moved to East Tennessee to obtain a Master’s of Science in Biomedical Professions at Lincoln Memorial University. She then matriculated into LMU’s medical school, the DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine and obtained her doctorate degree. She completed her residency training in family medicine at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center-Saint Francis Family Medicine Program in Memphis, Tennessee. Dr. Chism enjoys full spectrum family medicine, adolescent medicine, women’s health, and geriatrics. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, family/friends, and her baby boy. She also enjoys volunteering in the community, fishing, cooking/trying new restaurants, exploring new cities, and attending Broadway plays and live music concerts.
As a family medicine physician, Dr. Chism treats her patients and their families as if they were a part of her family. She hopes to build trusting relationships with her patients to assist them with achieving and maintaining excellent health physically, mentally, and emotionally. She is dedicated to serving her patients by using contemporary knowledge and preventive strategies to improve their quality of life.
