Meet Douglas Dodson, DO

Douglas R. Dodson, DO, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with fellowship training in total joint replacements. His training includes experience at renowned medical centers such as Thomas Jefferson University and the University of Michigan, where he trained under world-class surgeons and leaders in medical research. 

Dr. Dodson is committed to advancing his orthopedic expertise beyond standard requirements. He was recognized as a Fellow of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, an honor achieved by just over 4,000 of the more than 50,000 orthopedic surgeons in the country. This recognition reflects his specialized training and extensive experience performing joint replacement surgeries over the past three decades. He has also been honored as a Fellow and Diplomat of the International College of Surgeons.

As part of the research and design team for Kyocera Renovis Surgical Technologies, Dr. Dodson contributed to the development of orthopedic implants in the spine, trauma, and adult reconstruction fields.

In addition to joint replacement surgery, Dr. Dodson has expertise in procedures involving the hands, shoulders, and knees, as well as the treatment of fractures and ligament injuries. He also provides non-surgical treatments for back pain and is recognized as a workers’ compensation specialist.

He is passionate about community service, believing that volunteering is one of the most meaningful ways to give back. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Becky, and their three adult children. His interests include sports, traveling, music, photography, medical missions, and service-related projects.
