About
Dr. Edward Strecker is a family medicine physician, who lives in Lindale with his wife and daughter. He grew up in North Texas and has focused his training on preparing to serve a rural community in North East Texas. He received his undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology. He used this background throughout his training in medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. He graduated as a Rural Track Scholar and furthered his family medicine training at Lone Star Family Medicine Residency in Conroe, Texas. He has received multiple awards from the Texas Academy of Family Physicians for his leadership in rural medicine.
Dr. Strecker practices full-scope family medicine including pediatrics, gynecology, geriatrics, psychiatry, and a variety of in-office procedures. He cares for the whole family and enjoys building long-lasting patient-physician relationships.
He specializes in obesity and weight management as well, staying current on all the latest literature and treatments for obesity and weight loss. He has recently become a Diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine (DABOM), a highly coveted certification that designates a clinician as a reputable source of knowledge for obesity care.
