About

Dr. George Galvan comes from three generations of steel mill workers. He has worked as a nurse aide, phlebotomist and attended the University of Iowa on a full academic scholarship and graduated in 1995 with his Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree. He completed his Masters in Biology from Indiana University - Purdue University in 1997 and started medical school at Indiana University right after. During this time period, he continued to work as a registered nurse at Indiana University Hospital.

Dr. Galvan completed his Doctor of Medicine in 2001. He completed his Neurosurgical training in San Antonio at the University of Texas Health Science Center in 2009 and became a Board Certified Neurosurgeon afterward. In 2015, Dr. Galvan founded Texas Neuro Spine with the purpose of bringing the country's best Neurosurgeons to San Antonio. At home, in San Antonio, his focus is to bring his expertise and experience and then apply this to each and every one of his patients so that he can give them the best outcome possible.
