Hector De Pena, PA-C, collaborates with Paul Schmitt, MD, to address your neurosurgery needs. He is passionate about preoperative and postoperative care, neurotrauma, spinal disorders, and educating patients and their families. His dedication ensures that you receive high-quality, patient-centered care, providing the best possible outcomes and support throughout your treatment journey.

Hector holds a Master of Physician Assistant Studies from The University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth, TX, and a Bachelor of Applied Science from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi in Corpus Christi, TX. He believes, "Every patient needs to be heard and their desires understood. It's important to me that my patients understand their pathology and all their options. Taking the time to sit down with patients and get to know them as a person, and not simply what they're in my office for, helps build that relationship and trust that is so important when facing medical decisions together. My approach to medicine and patient care is centered around trust, openness, personal connection, and education."
