Meet Jana Rains, FNP

Jana Rains, FNP, is part of our highly trained cancer care team in Shreveport, LA. She strives to provide holistic, patient-centered care while fostering a culture of trust, respect, and dignity. She is passionate about educating patients and managing cancer treatment plans. She holds a Master of Science in Nursing and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, LA, and is a proud member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). Jana believes, “It is of the utmost importance to give the best care to the patient by treating them with respect, involving them and their family in care decisions, and educating both patient and family. Additionally, providing emotional support and collaborating with caregivers and other providers is essential.” Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, gardening, living in the country, and caring for all their animals.
