JoAnna Hernandez received her Master of Nursing with a concentration in women’s health from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. It was during her training that her interest in Maternal-Fetal Medicine/high risk obstetrics was sparked. She has been a member of the medical community in San Antonio who cares for high-risk obstetrical patients since 2009. JoAnna especially enjoys caring for obstetrical patients with diabetes. She is fluent in Spanish and certified by the National Certification Corporation as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner.

In her spare time, JoAnna enjoys traveling, attending sporting events and concerts, spending time with her husband and two children.
