A member of the American College of Cardiology Kunal Patel, M.D., is board-certified in cardiology and internal medicine, providing evaluation and treatment of cardiovascular disease, including minimally invasive procedures, at CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic in Texarkana, Texas.
Dr. Patel takes pride in his availability and dedication to his patients and is committed to providing comprehensive cardiac care, including evaluation and treatment of chest pain, shortness of breath, deep vein thrombosis (DVT), and varicose veins, management of congestive heart failure and palpitations, including AFib, and devices such as pacemakers and defibrillators.
Performing minimally invasive heart procedures done through the wrist, Dr. Patel also provides patients with numerous other interventional procedures such as cardiac catheterization, coronary angiography, percutaneous coronary intervention, balloon angioplasty, TAVR, peripheral artery disease intervention, intracoronary ultrasonography and fractional flow reserve.
Receiving his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, Pittsburgh, Pa., Dr. Patel completed his internal medicine residency at Columbia University Medical Center, New York, followed by fellowships in cardiovascular diseases and interventional and structural cardiology at The University of Texas Southwestern, Dallas.
Dr. Patel takes pride in his availability and dedication to his patients. Born and raised in California, he relocated to Texarkana following his cardiology training Dallas. In his free time, he enjoys reading, cooking and spending time with his family and friends.
