Meet Latha Prasannan, MD

Dr. Latha Prasannan received medical training at Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER), in Pondicherry, India. She graduated with a medical degree from the University of Madras, India. She completed her residency in pediatrics at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, Lebanon, New Hampshire and fellowship in pediatric hematology-oncology at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Her special interests include leukemia/lymphoma, solid tumors, immunotherapy and benign hematology. As a hematologist/oncologist at Covenant Children’s Hospital in Lubbock, Texas, she held academic position of Assistant Professor at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. For 10 years, she was a principal investigator for clinical trials with Children’s Oncology Group. Her personal interests include travel and promoting art, music and culture among young people.
