Meet Lora Spiller, MD

Dr. Lora Spiller is part of the medical team at the Center for Miracles that evaluates children who are suspected victims of abuse or neglect. Dr. Spiller is among a unique group of pediatricians who specialize in child abuse of which there are only 300 nationwide. She serves as the medical director of the Forensic Nurse Examiner Program at CHRISTUS Children’s. She is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at UT Health San Antonio. Dr. Spiller received her medical degree from Saba University School of Medicine in 2011, completed residency in general pediatrics at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania in 2014, and completed a three-year fellowship in child abuse pediatrics at UT Health San Antonio in 2018. She is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in both general pediatrics and child abuse pediatrics. Dr. Spiller is a member of the Ray Helfer Society, the American Academy of Pediatrics, and the Texas Pediatric Society.
