He is triple board certified in Pulmonary Medicine, Internal Medicine, and Critical Care Echocardiography. With a commitment to excellence, Dr. Leys has received numerous accolades throughout his career. His leadership skills were demonstrated during his tenure as Chief Resident in Internal Medicine at Howard University Hospital and as Chief Fellow in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Mount Sinai, New York. Additionally, he has been honored with several awards, including the Resident Leadership Award and Resident of the Year at Howard University Hospital, as well as the Intern of the Year Award at Cornwall Regional Hospital.

As a member of the American Thoracic Society and the American College of Chest Physicians, Dr. Leys remains committed to staying at the forefront of pulmonary medicine.
