With 25 years of experience, Madhu Challapalli, MD understands the importance of heart health. He has joined the exemplary team of cardiologists at CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic in New Braunfels, Texas, providing specialized cardiovascular care to adult patients.
Dr. Challapalli grew up in Odessa, Texas but spent most of his high school years in New Braunfels attending New Braunfels High School and Newks Tennis Academy. Dr. Challapalli received his Bachelor of Science in Cell Biology from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana, and his Doctor of Medicine from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine in Lubbock, Texas. He completed his internal medicine residency at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and his cardiovascular medicine fellowship at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center in San Antonio, Texas. Dr. Challapalli is dual-board certified in cardiovascular medicine and lifestyle medicine.
Dr. Challapalli treats a broad spectrum of cardiovascular conditions including structural heart disease, coronary artery disease, and cardiac rhythm disorders with a special interest in preventive cardiology.
The primary goal of Dr. Challapalli’s practice is to help his patients obtain optimal cardiovascular outcomes as defined by the individual patients themselves. He views his role as one of providing guidance and support to his patients, grounded in evidence-based knowledge to the best of his ability, and seeking assistance from other well-qualified providers when indicated.
