Meet Melanie Tharp, WHNP
Melanie is a board-certified women’s health Nurse Practitioner at CHRISTUS Women’s Center – Alexandria. She has a particular interest in breast health, hormonal imbalances, infertility and menopause.
An Alexandria-native, Melanie has practiced in her hometown for over 24 years. She is a member ofNurse Practitioners in Women’s Health, Louisiana Association of Nurse Practitioners and certified by the National Certification Corporation.
Melanie strives to see each patient as an individual, always providing compassionate care along with an integrative approach to ensure the healthiest and most appropriate outcome.

Melanie earned her Nurse Practitioner degree in Obstetrics and Gynecology from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and her Nursing degree from Northwestern State University of Louisiana.
Melanie has three daughters and enjoys spending time with her family, hiking andbike riding.
