Dr. Robert Freedman Jr. carries on a proud tradition as a cardiologist at the CHRISTUS Heart & Vascular Institute in Alexandria. Following his father's footsteps, Central Louisiana's first cardiologist, Dr. Freedman Jr., pursued his medical education at Tulane University and Tulane School of Medicine. He then completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, followed by a Cardiology fellowship at the University of Texas Health Science Center.
Dr. Freedman Jr. has served his community for over 35 years, becoming a leading expert in Interventional Cardiology and Therapeutic Hypothermia. Throughout his career, he has garnered recognition for his expertise, serving on the Editorial Board of Cardiovascular Catheterization and Intervention and receiving the prestigious Best Doctors in America award yearly since 2000. Dr. Freedman Jr.'s dedication to his patients and continuous research drives his passion for medicine.
