About
Samantha Shapiro says she knew she belonged in pediatric medicine when she discovered that eating popsicles, blowing bubbles, and petting dogs were part of the healing process. She enjoys helping kids have fun during the not-so-fun times when it comes to their health, particularly heart patients, as they tend to have a longer road to recovery.
In her free time, Sam enjoys spending time with her husband, three children, and their dog, Lola. Together, they explore local parks and look forward to trying new things to do in San Antonio.
