About
Dr. Stephanie Baskin grew up in Sachse, Texas, a suburb of Dallas. She received her B.S. in molecular and cell biology from Texas A&M University. She attended medical school at McGovern Medical School at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. She continued her training at McGovern Medical School, completing a combined residency in pediatrics and genetics. She specializes in dysmorphology, the study of congenital malformations (birth defects) that affect the anatomy.
She is passionate about helping patients and their families along the journey to finding a genetic diagnosis and walking with them once a diagnosis has been made. She joined the genetics team at the CHRISTUS Children's in January 2021. In her spare time, she is actively involved with her church and enjoys spending time with her family.
