She specializes in inpatient postoperative medical-surgical care, chemotherapy administration, and ICU work. Tara is passionate about providing comprehensive care to oncology patients and staying current with the latest advancements in cancer treatment. She is committed to evidence-based practice and makes it a priority to continuously read new literature to ensure her patients receive the most up-to-date and effective care.

She was honored to receive the first Sound Physician Partnership award and the Structural Empowerment Role Model of the Year award in 2021 at CHRISTUS Health. She is also a proud Oncology Nurses Association (ONS) member.

She is devoted to delivering compassionate care and treating each patient like family. Her approach is centered on holistic care, ensuring patients and their families are actively involved in the decision-making process. She strives to empower and support patients throughout their healthcare journey through open communication and collaboration. Outside of work, she enjoys playing billiards on a local amateur pool association team, playing basketball, and spending time with her husband and two young boys.
