About
Tessa Mauldin, AGNP considers it a privilege to provide healthcare in the community she calls home. Born and raised in East Texas, she graduated from UT Tyler in 2003 with a bachelor's in nursing. She worked as a registered nurse in intensive care in the metroplex during the first 14 years of her career. Tessa then graduated from Texas Woman’s University in 2017 as an Adult-Geriatric Nurse Practitioner. Since then, she has worked in primary care and fulfilled her passion for helping the next generation of nurses by serving three semesters as a clinical instructor in the undergraduate nursing program at UT Tyler.
Tessa finds the field of sleep medicine fascinating and is excited about the opportunity to assist patients find improved health through quality sleep. She has particular interest in sleep apnea. She has seen first-hand the positive impact treatment can have on one’s quality of life and looks forward to collaborating with her patients to find a treatment that works for them.

I strive to develop long-term relationships with my patients and create a plan of care with them, not for them. This represents a true partnership, where the patient’s needs drive the healthcare decisions. I invite my patients to be active participants in their care, producing improved outcomes through achievable personal goals."
