Meet Allison Tobola, MD
Dr. Allison Tobola is a CHRISTUS board-eligible non-surgical sports medicine physician dedicated to providing compassionate, service-oriented, and comprehensive care to athletes of all ages and abilities. Her expertise includes non-operative orthopedic care, joint and soft tissue injections, sports-related concussion management, non-operative fracture management, and the treatment of various sports-related injuries. She emphasizes non-surgical management options, including physical therapy and appropriate injections when needed, with the goal of helping athletes and all patients return to their sports and daily activities as quickly and safely as possible.
Dr. Tobola completed her undergraduate training at the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma, where she also played collegiate softball. She earned her medical degree from the University of Texas at Houston, followed by a Family Medicine residency at UT Health Center and a Primary Care Sports Medicine fellowship in Greenville, South Carolina. She is board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and holds a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Sports Medicine.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Tobola serves as a team physician for Tyler Junior College and provides sports coverage for various local high schools and running events in East Texas. She is also actively involved in community education, with a passion for preventing injuries and promoting wellness. Beyond medicine, she enjoys reading and is an active member of her church, finding fulfillment in both her professional and personal pursuits.
