Specialized Outpatient Services for Newborns

The Mother Baby Clinic provides a wide range of outpatient services to ensure you and your newborn receive the care and guidance you need.

Our expert team offers:

  • Jaundice management: Defined as a yellow discoloration of the skin and eyes, jaundice is very common in newborns, due to an excess of bilirubin in the blood. Our clinic offers simple, quick access for pain-free jaundice checks, using a meter that measures levels in the skin.
  • Weight monitoring: Caring for a newborn that its losing weight or slow to gain weight can be difficult. Help your baby gain weight properly with expert breastfeeding evaluations, weighted feedings, individualized feeding plans, and in-clinic follow-ups as needed to ensure your baby is gaining weight properly.
  • Circumcision: If your baby was unable to undergo circumcision at the time of birth, our board-certified neonatologists can perform a circumcision as an outpatient procedure under local anesthesia. This is for babies younger than three months.
  • Frenotomy: Sometimes, the small fold of tissue under the tongue, known as the frenulum, can be unusually short or tight, causing a condition called "tongue-tied." A procedure called frenotomy can be performed to cut the frenulum and improve tongue movement.
