Dr. Melissa Covington received her medical degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry in New York. She completed her residency in anesthesiology and a fellowship in pain medicine through Brigham and Women’s Hospital at Harvard Medical School.
Following completion of her fellowship training, Dr. Covington joined the faculty at the University of Vermont. In Vermont she gained more than 10 years of experience treating both common and complex pain conditions and served as the Fellowship Director for the Pain Medicine Fellowship Training Program. Dr. Covington is a specialist in interventional pain management and employs a wide range of interventional techniques as part of a comprehensive approach to complex pain conditions.
Dr. Covington has moved to Santa Fe with her husband, Jim and her loyal old hound dog Maggie. She is an avid hiker and an enthusiastic painter and says she is looking forward to eating more than her fair share of chili.
