Our Sports Medicine Services
Common Acute Joint Conditions Treated: Foot, Ankle, Knee, Hip, Back (Low, Middle, Upper Spine), etc.
Common Acute Muscular Conditions Treated: Lower Leg, Thigh, Core, Shoulder, Elbow, Wrist, etc.
Other Activity Related Conditions: Head Concussions, Heat-Related Illnesses, overuse and chronic conditions, stress fracture, and other conditions.
Sports Medicine Conditions Treated
Preventative services: Nutrition Counseling, Strength and Flexibility, Biomechanical Analysis, Hydration, Bracing, Taping, and other services.
Injury Management services: Onsite evaluation and diagnosis of athlete-related conditions, onsite splinting and bracing, recognition and treatment of trauma, concussion evaluation and management, and other injury services.
Rehabilitation and return to participation services: Dry needling, aquatic therapy, blood flow restriction, Graston, cupping, and more.

Immediate Injury Care for Urgent Injuries
Sports injuries can vary greatly, but some require immediate medical attention.

CHRISTUS Athletic Trainers and Mobile Athletic Training Unit Partnership
CHRISTUS Health has provided 50 athletic trainers at over 80 Northeast Texas school districts, colleges, and universities.
CHRISTUS athletic trainers work together to provide high quality care for athletes. Athletic trainers work in collaboration to discuss injuries and treatment plans, and to learn from one another.
Our trainers help athletes rehabilitate injuries and help determine if an athlete can play through an injury or if medical care is needed. CHRISTUS athletic trainers are dedicated to ensuring safe recovery for athletes so they can get back in the game.
Free Saturday Sports Medicine Clinic
We offer a Sports Medicine Injury Clinic every Saturday morning from mid-August through December at select locations. During this clinic, our physicians provide free screening for sports-related injuries.
