at CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Health System & CHRISTUS Children's
This page is designed for allied health professional students doing clinical rotations and observers at CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Health System and CHRISTUS Children's to access registration information and orientation requirements.
LOCATION: The CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Medical Education office is located at CHRISTUS Children's campus - 333 N. Santa Rosa St., San Antonio, Texas 78207, on the 5th floor of the Goldsbury Center for Children and Families, Suite F5626 in the Medical Library. Click here for a map of CHRISTUS Children's campus.
HOURS: Badging is by appointment only Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. (Not available during lunch 12 - 1 p.m.). The Medical Education office is not available for badging on Fridays and weekends.

Information
In order to be approved for a clinical rotation with CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Health System or CHRISTUS Children's, there must be a current affiliation agreement in place with your Clinical Program. You must also have already secured a preceptor. The Graduate Medical Education (GME) office does not assist in finding preceptors or coordinating your rotation schedules.
To request a clinical rotation, please complete all of the forms below no later than 4 weeks before your anticipated start date:
Read the Confidentiality Agreement ahead of time and sign the agreement upon registration at the GME office.
Allied Health Student Orientation Requirements

Once you have reviewed all of the elements above, complete and submit the Student Orientation Completion Certificate.
You must bring a valid photo ID (driver's license or passport) to the GME office prior to your rotation start date in order to complete your registration process and obtain a badge. You will not be allowed access to our facilities without obtaining your CHRISTUS ID badge.
Returning allied health students are required to notify the Medical Education office of changes in rotation locations and dates at least two weeks before the rotation begins. Use this form to easily update this information for our records.
If you wish to apply for Observation Privileges, please read the Observation Privileges Standards by clicking on the link below. You must ascertain authorization for the observation by a CHRISTUS Santa Rosa medical staff member who is known to you. Then, you must complete the HIPAA Presentation with quiz and submit the Observation Privileges Online Application. The Medical Staff Sponsor Agreement form must be completed and submitted by the CHRISTUS Santa Rosa medical staff member who has agreed to sponsor you.

In order to be approved for access as a research assistant you must have a current CITI Program Training Certificate and be named as a research assistant with an approved study at CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Health System.
To register, complete the forms linked below. You must bring a photo ID (driver's license or passport) to the Medical Education office prior to your access start date in order to complete your registration process.
