Supportive Care Medicine

The Supportive Care Medicine team is available to offer an extra layer of support to people living with serious and life-threatening illnesses.  They help individuals develop a plan of care that reflects the patient’s wishes, values and life goals with emphasis on comfort and quality of life. Care may be provided from the time of diagnosis of a serious illness and alongside curative and life prolonging treatments in partnership with a patient’s other care providers.

Our specialized team members include a physician, nurse practitioners and licensed therapists who offer personalized whole-person care to address quality of life, treatment goals, symptom control and care planning beyond disease management alone.  Integrative medicine treatments are used alongside mainstream medicine and complement conventional Western medicine approaches.

Integrative Medicine offers a whole-person approach that is designed to treat you, not just your disease. The treatments are often used alongside mainstream medicine and complement conventional Western medicine approaches.

The integrative team can meet with you to evaluate your needs and discuss how services such as acupuncture, herbal therapy, massage, spiritual journey, mindfulness training can help you create a treatment plan that is tailored for you.
