Benefits for Our Residency Program
Our salaries are reviewed annually to ensure they are consistent with or above average resident salaries in similar markets. The pay cycle is monthly.
Base annual salary structure
Effective July 1, 2025
PGY-1: $59,596.56
PGY-2: $61,890.54
PGY-3: $63,990.72
*Additional pay is afforded to third-year residents elected to serve as chief residents.
Matriculation Bonus: $2,000

Meal card for $1,200/year to be used while on hospital rotations
All physicians are given a 25 percent discount in cafeteria
Hot, catered meals are provided for all noon conferences (scheduled daily except Tuesdays)

Insurance Coverage
Group medical insurance: Comprehensive Medical Insurance is provided. An option is available to finance other family members with the program covering over 60 percent of the cost. A range of health plan options is available to choose from. Each year the resident can choose to continue the plan or can opt for a change in plan services. Health plan options are available that reduce taxable income through medical and dental coverage deductions. (Value $5,280 per year)
Group dental insurance: An employee-funded dental plan is available as an optional service. (Value $165)
Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment: A policy paying one-time annual salary is provided.
Disability insurance: Disability insurance provisions for both short- and long-term disability.
Term Life insurance coverage: A policy of 1x annual salary is provided, more coverage can be purchased as an option.
Professional liability: Comprehensive liability coverage in the amounts of $200,000/$600,000, consistent with current medico-legal and community standards, is provided to the resident.
Annual physical exam: $100 value available on anniversary date.
