Things to Do Before Your Hospital Stay
It is essential that you are prepared before your hospital stay. Below are items that are essential to mom and baby for overnight stay.
- Going home outfits for both mom and baby
- Diapers and wipes
- Blanket, hat, mittens, onesies and socks
- Phone charger
- ID and insurance card
- Bring your breastfeeding pillow
- Install your car seat
If your doctor scheduled you for a labor induction (induced labor) or a C-Section, please call the Labor & Delivery Unit before leaving home to ensure your receive further instructions. Please go directly to the Labor & Delivery Department. Wheelchairs are available at the entrance if needed. Our staff will promptly attend to your individual needs as well as those of your family. If arriving between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m., enter through the emergency room.
Items to Bring to the Hospital on the Day of Delivery

- Insurance cards
- Current medication list with dosage amounts
- List of all allergies and known reactions
- Advance Directive/Living Will/Power of Attorney (if available)
