How long will it take to get set up to Job Shadow?
This depends on how quickly you submit the necessary documentation. Allow at least two weeks for the process to be completed. Background checks can take several days to come back.
How long is my paperwork good for?
Paperwork is good for one year from the time of submission.
Can I shadow in more than one area?
Yes, you can choose multiple areas/units/departments to shadow in at CHRISTUS Good Shepherd. You can also shadow in multiple locations (Longview, Marshall, NorthPark, OSMI and Kilgore).
Is there a way for me to track my time/hours spent shadowing in case I need them to apply for a program?
Yes, we can provide you with a Student Placement Log for you to track your hours and get signed.
If I have never been to the hospital, can I get a tour prior to shadowing?
Yes, we are happy to show you around the hospital and the area(s) where you will shadow.
