Application Process
All residency applicants must apply through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) – ACGME Program ID: 1404800890. We onboard 13 new interns per academic year. All correspondence regarding applications and interviews will be via ERAS. Deadline for applications is November 30.
The following criteria are used by the Residency Selection Committee:
- Must be a graduate of an accredited US medical school or an International Medical Graduate with ECFMG Certification. We prefer completion of medical school within the last five years.
- USMLE or COMLEX score transcripts are required. DO candidates may submit USMLE and/or COMLEX scores.
- Step 1 or COMLEX 1 and Step 2 CK or COMLEX 2 CE transcripts are required with application submission. Step 2 CS and COMLEX 2 PE transcripts must be submitted prior to rank order list deadline. We require passing test scores, preferably on the first attempt.
- A Dean’s Letter and three letters of recommendation are required. LORs must be from faculty with whom the applicant has worked clinically. Bonus: LOR from the Internal Medicine Department Chief or Program Director
- CV, personal statement and photo are required
- Must be able to interview via Zoom
- Must be prepared to complete three years of residency training
- Must be able to assume all responsibilities of training on the specified date of contract. All appointees must report for mandatory orientation during the last two weeks of June.
Interviews will begin in October. If you receive an invitation through ERAS, you will be able to select your interview date from the available scheduled interview dates listed. Once confirmed, you will receive our virtual application packet which includes a sample contract, an itinerary of your interview day, and other resources to assist you with the interview process.
